The post with no title

Amanda and I went to the casino tonight and enjoyed the buffet, and then I watched her play some slots. I still don't understand the addiction to that little button, but whatever, it was fun non the less. Then we watched the second Harry Potter movie and I'm still in love.

On Sunday, Erik (the dude that replaced me at the hotel as FD Supervisor) called me and said that he was leaving and that if I wanted my job back it was mine for the taking. Well thats nice to know I guess. I liked working at the hotel, I LOVE my coworkers and I think I'd be happy going back (I think I'm pretty good at it too) Not everyone can handle working at a hotel's front desk... ask anyone that has, it is hard work and the pay isn't exactly an isentive to stay on board.

I'm going to see how that Graphic Design job works out. I can alway keep applying for other jobs that pop up while I'm working at the hotel. Either way, I'm just really excited about leaving DL for good and living in GF with my hubby and our new house.

strangest thing I've ever seen...

Those of you who visit eBaums world regularily have seen this. For those of you who haven't.... enjoy. you HAVE to watch the WHOLE thing

Watch out world, another Harry Potter fan is born!

I love Harry Potter. Amanda and I had a chill session. We ate yummy popcorn (I could eat that stuff three meals a day) and chocholates and soda and vegged out while we watche HP. It was great. I'm a new fan, and this coming from someone that never thought I'd be a HP fan... Obviously since it took me this freakin' long to sit down and give it a shot. The end.... Oh and don't tell anyone, or I'll have to kill you. I know people who know people.... granted most of my "people" are you guys... but still...

Jessie

I called Darren and Janelle last night and Baby Jessie is big and growing and doing very well. She is gaining like 2 oz/day! WOO HOO!! I'm going to try and get out to her house sometime this week. So I just wanted to update you. When I called, I could hear Cassidy just screamin' her lil' head off... I don't know if she was laughing or crying or what, but it sounds like Janelle has her hands full with the little ones :)

Gone and far far away.

We were in GF this weekend for the natorious D-O-U-G's birthday party. I got a few pics, but I didn't take a lot. It was fun. My sister was there too. Karissa made the best food! I mean seriously, that woman should be on the Food Network, she's such a good cook!

So we hung out in GF this weekend, did some things.. and drove back to DL today. Kevin packed more stuff and drove immediately BACK to GF because we have cable/internet hookup dude coming tomorrow to the new house, and then Kevin starts his new job on Wednesday. So we begin the long month of Me living here and him living there. I'm already bored and missing him very much. Not to be a completly insane psychotic wifey, but I've sent him 3 text messages with pics of me and Mr. Pie, and called him twice... in the past 3 and a half hours.

The roads were super nasty from the half way point on... and I knew that from the drive this morning. But he made it safe and sound. He's dropping off an application for me to Acme Electric. I'm applying for a graphic design position. As far as I understand they only work with Indesign and Photoshop, two programs I know well enough to get an entry level position like this one. Its just putting together layouts for ads... which I'm sure they already have a template for.

So what am I going to do with all my free time now that I don't have a hubby around... I'm going to sit on my butt with Amanda and watch all of the Harry Potter movies. I'm pretty excited because I need to get in a lot of Amanda time before I move next month. I also need Tabby time, but I don't think I'm her style anymore :( I think she traded me in for a younger, less annoying model.

Blake brought over his N2... and we had Old School fun with MarioKart... OH YEAH!! Look on the left, you can see Blake doing a winning happy dance :) Posted by Picasa

Christmas present from Kevin, finally OPENED and lit. I love it and I love how it lights the room :) Thank you Blake for patiently opening, assembling, and lighting of my new favorite thing. Posted by Picasa

THIS Is what the roads looked like driving back to DL today. This was a good spot of highway. Kevin had to drive back to GF in the DARK on this stuff... ew.... Posted by Picasa

gee willikers!

So bored *drool drool drool*

I'm at work, and it is really really slow.

Today is Kevin's last day here in Devils Lake. Tonight, we're driving to GF in my daddy's truck (thank you dad!) I've always liked road trips with Kevin. We sing loud to the music and dance in our seats and make fun of the songs that suck. We talk about stuff... and even though we've been together for a long time, we still manage to have new conversations. We eat junk food and it is just a fun time. But my Dad's truck doesn't have a CD player (seriously, Dad, get with the times here...its 2006) Kevin SOLD his iPod. why? I don't know. SO all we have is the good ol' FM dial. And in ND, radio stations are few and far between. On the highway you get a station, then it goes out, and the only station you can get is some christian country station. Its not until about a half hour out of GF that you start getting good stations. Maybe with my dads truck, we'll get more stations.

Tonight is Dougs birthday, he's turning a BILLION years old tomorrow. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DOUGLAS JEREMY (oh yeah, I so went to the middle name)

I'm feeling pretty care free today. I'm surprized that all this moving stufff isn't getting me all worked up. I'm goin' with the flow and not stressed about one little thing. WHY? you might ask.

oh shit.... gotta do some work....

When I die...

So really, who hasn't thought about their death? Since I'm a freakin' paranoid maniac when it comes to world distruction and/or fatal freak accidents, I have thought a lot about my death. No, not really unhealthy thoughts, just the simple "what do I want to have served at my funeral?" "who will come" "organ donation?" When Tanya died in the car accident, I gots to thinking about my own funeral and how I want to have a say on what goes on, because you never know when you could die. Could be tomorrow. Tanya didn't know. So anyway... for all to read and know... here is my funeral: rough draft for now...

First, I want to be creamated (is that how you spell it?) I don't know why, I just prefer that over having my body slowly decomposing in the ground. I want my ashes to be spread over WoodLake..... or whatever... I guess that part doesn't really matter, and besides I don't know if that is leagal any more. But before I'm burned to a crisp, I want my body to be donated to science. Some Medical student somewhere can learn stuff about the human body by studying me. I have no ill thoughts about that whatsoever, really... cut me up, and learn, at least my dead body would be useful that way. They'll be excited to find my pins in my feet. I know it is hard to find young female bodies to study because those are the ones that are the most relunctant to giving their body up to science. Not saying I'm going to die soon... I hope not... God I hope not, but If I do.... it'll be useful. Thats all i'm sayin'

On to my funeral... Don't dress up just for me. Don't wear those uncomfortable shoes and that shirt with the scratchy collar. Jeans and a nice top will do. You never dressed special for me durning my lifetime, why start when I'm dead? Don't get mad for people that just can't come to my funeral because they dont handle funerals well.... I know how they feel. They'll grieve in their own way.

"Amazing Grace" is a MUST. I also want "season's of love" from the "rent" soundtrack played... and it has to be the MOVIE version, not the original cast version. I love that song, and always will, and it is very fitting for a funeral.

FOOD: I love picnic food. Potato salad, egg salad, turkey sandwiches with mayo, no pasta salads though, I don't care who makes it, no one really likes eating them. little smokies, Karissa can bring her Rotelle, Tacos for Kevin. Oh, and movie theatrer popcorn... the REAL stuff from the theater. (not to eat during my funeral, just after) Come on people, I'm dead here, this is a last request... it has to be real theater popcorn.

FLOWERS: I love roses... I know they are expensive, so colored daisies will do.

EULOGY: Just say what you want... even if its something like "April sure was a good driver" or "April was weird" but SOMEONE has to say something.

Don't complain about how long the church service is. Chances are the only time most of you are IN a church is to go to babtisms, weddings and funerals.

Lastly... when I'm gone... blog about it.

another load out the door

We brought another load of our junk down to GF. Doug and Karissa were at his dad's here in DL this weekend so doug helped move stuff into the truck for us yesterday while Karissa, Isabella and I hung out. Mr. Fuzzybutt found out Humans come in different sizes and when he rubbed up against Bell Bell, he nearly knocked her over. She tried petting him, but grabbed his butt instead and he went into fight mode.

We drove to GF, hung out with Amber, Ben, blake and kelsey. Our house there looks more livable now than our apartment does.

Steffy, I left my phone in DL so I didn't get your message until we got home, but I'll call ya tomorrow.

Here, Isabella is taking the tape OFF the boxes, she apparently doesn't want us to move closer to her.  Posted by Picasa

Bell Bell made contact. It was cute. At first they didn't know what to think of eachother, then she started following him around and he, surprisingly, put up with is for a while. Posted by Picasa

Isabella helping Uncle Kevin pack boxes. SO helpful. Posted by Picasa

Isabella trying to give Mr. Pie his green catnip mouse. Posted by Picasa

Fuzzybutt guarding his favorite toy. Its a cat nip filled whale. He growls if you get too close while he's holding it. Posted by Picasa

Blake helped us move in. I thought he looked funny sitting on our kitchen floor balancing his account on the internet with all his reciepts next to him... seriously, sho saves their reciepts... really.. who... Posted by Picasa

Pack,Packers, Packidy, Pack, McPackers...

We have spent the night packing, it is oh so sad because our Apartment just looks empty and sad. All the pictures are off the walls, the bookshelves are empty, the candles are gone, and all the decorations have been taken down. Its like a shell of our home. *Tear* So it became all too real as to how soon we'll be gone. I really loved this apartment. It felt so homy, like it is OURS. It felt that way the very day we moved here, and its gonna be hard saying goodbye to this place. I feel more at home the 8 months we lived here, than the 2 years we lived in the UND housing apartment. I know our house will eventually feel like that too, I just can't wait to get settled in. But until then, I have to live in this empty apartment without Kevin until I move to GF. Coming home to nothing will be sad. Kevin is taking the computer :( but Butto is letting me borrow one of his computers... It just won't have my stuff on it. :(

Okay, and pity party is over in 5...4...3...2..1... ah..... anyway

We went to McDonalds and stole some McBoxes from their bin 0' boxen So hopefully our books won't smell like French fries or McFish. Still no update on Janelle. Brandi will prolly talk to her before I do. Our cells are dead, and somewhere between our new house, Kevin's car, and our apt. in DL... our battery charger ran off and joined a liberal cult of some sort. I.E. we have nothing to charge our phones with.

Yesterday was supposed to be the day the Census lady was supposed to call me and do our monthly employment/living expense quesionair. She's prolly panicing because she can't reach me. Oh well, since we're moving, we are disqualified form any further participation in the "volunteer" government study.

I don't have anything fun to say, I'm bored and wanted to post.

If you don't know who that is in my profile picture, its meatwad. I love aquateen hunger force. I don't know why, I just do. its prolly the same part of my brain that makes me watch entire episodes of "Drawn Together" and "Futurama" even though I've seen them all 2 times. But Meatwad is my favorite. Those writers are on crack. but it makes me laugh, so that is why he is my new profile pic.

Janelle and Baby

Here is Janelle and Darrens new baby

http://www.altrulakeregion.org/Babies/jessie%20ann.html

She has gone through some problems, but we have faith that she'll will be going home in the next couple of days. She has lost quite a bit of weight and now weighs like 4 lbs 8 oz.. or something like that. She hasn't been able to eat, so she has a feeding tube. They were going to discharge Janelle today, but Janelle talked them into letting her stay at least one more day to be with Jessie. Jessie is so small, but so beautiful, and has a head full of hair. I wasn't going to post anything, but I went up to see Janelle at the hospital and told her people were wondering... so here I am.

Jessie also has Jaundice... so she's a bit yellow, but they have her under those lights. She is so small and with all those tubes and lights, she looks so helpless, but everyone is pretty sure she'll pull through just fine, she's just small. They tested her hearing and she can hear perfectly.

Janelle is doing exceptionally well. She looks great, and hasn't complained of pain (although I'm sure she is in pain, just not telling me about it) I snuck her some McDonalds tonight because I can't imagine eating hospital food for 4 days has been too great.

I'll keep ya posted.

Accomplishment

Its amazing what you can achieve in one day when you're motivated. It came to our realization today that Kevin has to start living in GF in two weeks! Thats not much time. We have two more weekends to move some stuff to the house in GF so Kevin will have things there... like furniture and entertainment... uh oh... he better not be thinking he's getting the computer right away! oh hell no.

Today is me and Kevin's anniversary... no not our wedding anniversary, thats in July (it'll be three years.. holy shit...) but this is the anniversary when we started dating... 10 years ago!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT! Yup we are high school sweethearts. We met in ROTC Drill Team (yeah, that's where you throw guns around) and we've been together ever since. Oddly enough while i was packing the other day I found the notbook Kevin and I kept to write notes to eachother in our second year dating in High School. Today I picked it up and read it, and my heart melted. It was like a blast from the past, it brought back so many memories that I had forgotten, inside jokes that completely slipped my mind. Kevin wrote me a lot of poems, and I don't know if they are all original, but I still like them. Here is one of my favorites.

Just Think
When life gets rough and difficult
and the work just has no end
Just thnk of us together
and the pain will go away

WHen people try to hut you
with their harsh thoughts and words
Just remember theres someone that loves you
and the pain will go away

When all seems lost and empty
and no one will understand
Just trust in me to listen
and the pain will go away

When the world has come down on you
and you can't take it anymore
just use my shoulder to lean on
and the pain will go away

When I am depressed or angry
Because it happens to us all
Just tell me that you love me
and the pain will go away.

AHHHHHHHH!!! How can you not just LOVE that! It is soooo cheesy but I love it. I don't remember getting that poem the first time, but reading it makes me feel all fuzzy uzzy. He's still the same sweet guy. I'm glad I didn't listen to people when they told me "are you sure you want to spend the rest of your life with the ONLY guy you've ever dated?"

yes, yes I do. And I don't think I'll EVER feel any different. We've been out of high school for 7 years (for me, 9 years for Kevin) and that is plenty of time to learn if our relationship is more than just "puppy" love

We haven't celebrated our "first date" anniversary in a LOOOONG time, but I figure since its hit the TEN year mark, we have the right.

So anyway, I'm getting so excited to move back to GF!!! I'm going to miss my job like CRAZY, it is by far the best job I've ever had. I really hoped that something like that would be available in GF, but theres not, so I'm applying for a job at Altru Hospital. A receptionist in the Radiology department. THey pay 10.00/hour and I would get free health insurance, which means Kevin and I would pay absolutely NOTHING for health insurance which is AWESOME! I applied on line, and recieved a confirmation, so I hope they call for an interview. I also wanted to apply for a job at a halfway house for battered Women and Children, but its only part time and I would have to sleep there at least one night a week, but it sounded like something I would have been interested in.

THis post is getting too long...

BABY!!!

Janelle had the baby this morning, Darren called and left a message, baby and mom are both doing well. Darren said the baby had lots of hair. I'm not going to tell you if it was a boy or a girl because I'm going to wait to see it today and ask Janelle if she minds if I tell, or if she wants to tell you guys.

But YAY baby!! I can't wait to see.... it.

Kevin rocks!

We drove to GF yesterday so Kevin could get up nice and early this morning to to to the Hospital and get drug tested, sit through an orientational video, and get shots, oh and to get our $10,000 sign on bonus... yes, OUR bonus :)

He got poked like 10 different times to get vaccinated from EVERYTHING, including Chicken pox, even though he's already had the chicken pox. I guess they REALLY don't want him to get sick...

We brought some things to our HOUSE, including a bed so we can stay there for the next couple of months driving back and forth and sideways. We spent our first night there, so it really does feel like our home now instead of just an empty cold house.

We got to see Isabella, boy is she the cutest ever. I think she likes the idea of us living there, cause she didn't take as long to warm up to me as she usually does, maybe the $10 I slipped her helped a little.

Tomorrow I'm taking pics of Janelle's tummy hopefully, and friday is the big day! I hope its a boy!!! We definately need a little boy around here!
