Do not waste your time seeing Happy Feet. It was kind of dull... okay music, but stupid story line.... but I'm a sucker for cute animated baby pequins. I mean look how cute and fuzzy he is :)

T minus 27 days... (do the math, thats like 4 weeks!)

Don't feel like typing a lot so I'm going to paraphrase my last couple of weeks.

Had two baby showers. Got cool stuff.
Finishing baby room.
Packing hospital bag.
Buying last minute things.
Went to Baby Preperation classes and learned all about Epidurals, pain meds, breathing, relaxing, and all that other baby stuff. the class was 6 hours long... 6 HOURS!.
Took Isabella's 2 year pics. She was a 2 year old and couldnt' sit still very long, but we got some good ones.. none that would be considered "hang on your wall portraits" but more "this is how she is, cute and a little diva"
That about it. We've been all about baby... and since thats not exciting to anyone else except us and grandmas and grandpas.... I won't talk too much about it.

My favorite one of Isabella. To see more of her go to Karissa's blog. www.obsessedwithisabella.com Posted by Picasa

Baby: The Owners Manual.

Last night we went to a "Baby Basics" class. We bathed a doll, learned how to swaddle. and kevin changed his first diaper. We learned about freaky medical things and saw pictures of what newborns look like fresh from the... um... stork. Its all what I was expecting, but the guy sitting next to me was disturbed... um dude, what the hell were you expecting... its been in a sack of fluid for 9 months and passed through the birth canal. Its not pretty. He seemed a little confused. My cousin Chad was there with his wife, Kandra. Shes due in two or three weeks, but they think she's going earlier than that.

Next Saturday we have a Birthing Preperation class. I'm guessing we'll learn focal points and breathing. I'm scheduling a tour for the hospital so we'll know what to do and where to go on the "big day". I have a doctors appointment tomorrow and now I'll begin going to weekly appointments until the baby is born.

Kevin's job is moving him. AGAIN. First he was commuting to Crookston (30miles) and then he got to stay in East Grand Forks (5 minutes from home) and then they made him go to Larimore part time... NOW they're making him go to Lakota and Devils Lake... you know... the town we moved AWAY FROM! 3 hour commute everyday!! Whats the point.. why do they keep moving him around? Now they're giving him the Ford Focus back to drive IN THE WINTER back and forth. What if he is in DL when I go into laybor?! What if he gets stuck there! What if it storms and he misses the whole birth!? These are selfish fears... and whats your point!?

In the contract it should have said "we try to screw you every chance we get" Sign here X.

Ah.... he'll make it... I'll buy him snow shoes... and a pack of sled dogs and some jerky for the road... and he'll make it.

Holy crap. I'm going to have a baby.

Yup. Me.... I'm gonna have a baby, in a little over one month. Its starting to sink in... the sleepless nights, the bathing, and diapers, finding childcare for when I go back to work, everything is going to be so different. But I guess I welcome the change too. I mean I can't wait to see him and hold him and even if he is crying and screaming and such, its still going to be awesome. So there's my thoughts on that whole baby subject... The whole baby thing is exciting, and scarey at the same time. I can't wait!

Onto something else... our internet is INCEADIBLY SLOW. Its almost like we have dial up or something! I don't know why, but it better not stay this way or I'm gonna be very unhappy. Going on the internet is pointless because i spend most of my time frustrated at watching the page download. Grrr...

We were not home for a large portion of trick or treat time... but we didn't have candy anyway so our light was off. It was too cold anyway, and with the new snow and ice and cold I think a lot of people decided to go to school or city funded activities. Trick or Treating isnt' as big as it used to be.... we saw a few groups of kids making their way down the block but not near the amount of kids when I was younger. Whats the point in getting your kid all dressed up if they have to wear winter coats and gloves and hats... then all you have is a face half-assed painted that starts wearing off when the poor kids nose starts running from the cold. Trick or Treating in North Dakota.... meh.

I had today off, and only left the house once to bring the Jeep into the shop so the brakes can get fixed. Other than that, I'm stuck at home all day on my butt watching TV. Which is fine by me. I wasn't feeling very good last night, and my stomach felt a little funny and my head has hurt for two days now... I don't feel like quite the bum sitting on my butt all day.

Amber, I hope your feeling better! Even after she got her manditory flu shot-she got the flu. Icky. It must suck to be sick and not have your hubby there to make you soup and hold your hair back for you :(. He owes you big time when he comes back :)
