Mission Skinny: A bit disappointing

Well, it had to happen sometime right? I only lost 1 pound last week... not even a whole pound, but close enough for me to count as a pound.

Although we're still working out, I think it is time to really REALLY work out. I just gotta push a little harder. I knew I wasn't going to lose another 2lbs, I feel like we're eating too much, even though we aren't, I'm just comparing it to Phase 1 where we starved ourselves :)

I'm making meatloaf for Easter dinner (I'd kill for ham, but we can't eat that yet) Lean beef, and egg substitute, of course.

I hope you all have a fantastic Easter!!

Mission Skinny: Still Truckin'

I lost another 2.5 lbs this week! I'll be happy if I can keep this up, especially now that we have introduced BREAD back into our diet! Today we ate blueberry wheat pancakes for dinner... yummy! Tomorrow its wraps for lunch!

I've lost a total of 20.4 lbs! in 30 days! I'm stoked! I can't believe I've had the will power to do this. I must say thanks to all my friend and family and the people around me that keep cheering me on, it helps more than you think. I love that people that don't even know I'm on a diet are commenting on how I look a little thinner.

The hard spots that I have to work on are my tummy and thighs and that stubborn back fat... yeah, I'm announcing to the whole internet world that I have back fat... well more hip fat, but whatever, its the most annoying. You can really see the difference in my face, arms, waste and.... well... unfortunately I had to go bra shopping, and that was sad.

Kevin has lost 1 lb this week, but he didn't get to work out much since he's a cripple. But as long as we're not gaining, I'm happy with .5 lbs if thats all we lose.

Aiden is doing terrific too. He's gaining weight, at least he better be, he eats A LOT more now. He has his 15 month appointment on Wednesday. I can't believe he's getting so old! He talks up a storm, and although I have no idea what he's sayin' he gibber jabbers constantly, and points to everything. We're pretty sure he said 'kitty' today, but he didn't repeat it again. He has also mixed "no" and "don't" (two words we've been TRYING not too use a lot, but it just comes out when he's getting into something he shouldn't be) and he says "DOE!" Like when the kitty tries to get his food "DOE!"

There's your update! Oh, and only 24 days until VEGAS!!

His new haircut... just for Nana

MISSION SKINNY: Clothes shopping!

I went shopping yesterday for new clothes and I actually had FUN! I weighed in this morning, I lost another 3.4 lbs and Kevin lost 2.5. I've lost a total of 17.4 lbs!

We tried doing measurement but gave up because we kept getting higher numbers and I think we just are not acurate enough but judging by what size jeans I was trying on yesterday, I have lost 2 inches in my waste. I tried on some sundresses for when we go out in Vegas too. For the first time in a long time I LOVED everything I tried on... in one size SMALLER in most cases, depending on brand and store. Most things fit me well and I could have done it all day. Before I would just get frustrated and feel like a big fat hippo and give up in a huff. I didn't buy anything except for one pair of jeans though. The mall was CRAZY and I dont' know what I was thinking going there on a Saturday afternoon. It was flooded with Canadians excited that the exchange is at PAR now.

Side note, I had a lady from Winnipeg ask me if I knew where to get the cheapest Rotel. you know that stuff that makes delicious dips (like Karissa does :) and I said "I donno, did you check Hugos"

"yes, I did they said they had a sale going but I wasn't about to pay .99 cents for one can, I have to buy at least 10 cans for all my friends back home"

"um.... you can try Walmart"

"I did, it was $1.22 there"

"You can try SuperOne right across the street"

"Its 1.27 there"

"Ma'am are you going to all these grociery stores just looking for Rotel?"

"well yeah, all my friends want some and you can't get it that cheap in Canada"

"You probably spent the difference in gas driving around to the different stores looking for it, I don't think you'll find it any cheaper than 99 cents"

and she looks at me and just walks away over to her friends table in the lobby and says "I know I saw an ad for 89 cents...maybe it was Kmart"

ok lady, I really highly doubt Kmart (on the exact opposite side of town) will have Rotel.

Anyway, I just laughed at that woman for a while, crazy bargen shoppers... (Amanada:) )

SO anyway... the diet is working great, and I better go, I told Kevin i'd only be a couple minutes on the computer...

The weekend couldn't have come any SLOWER

Ick, this week was just.... blah. Boring really. Well, unless you count Kevin breaking his hip as something interesting.

I suppose you want the story now. Here it is: Kevin fell on the ice (freakin' North Dakota winters with stupid ice and snow IN MARCH!) He fell on his side, a peice of his hip bone chipped off. Poor Husband. He went to the doctor, they took an Xray, and said there isn't much they can do because its a small peice and it'll heal itself eventually, they gave him crutches, gave him a shot of some sort of poisonous pain killer and sent him on his way. He hobbled into the hotel and I was like "WTF?!" and he was like "I did something stupid" then he wasn't feeling so good, and had to sit down, and he almost blacked out, and would have if he hadn't laid flat on his back right in the middle of our lobby. He said his vision was going black- all the color drained from his face, and he looked like a ghost. It was noon and he hadn't eaten anything and then they gave him that pain killer, so those things mixed-not smart. I drove him home, and he slept the rest of the day, I got home, and he looked horrible, he was sweating and red, and had a fever when we took his temp. Which is odd, 'cause why would a chipped hip give you a fever? But I think it was that nasty pain killer causing all those problems. He went to work today and because he can't work on patients, he's answering phones and taking appointment.

Doug is doing us a HUGE favor by picking Aiden up in the morning-thats a big help because I don't knwo how Kevin would do that. He has to use crutches for a week or so or "when he can walk on it with little pain"

We weigh in again Sunday, so I guess we'll see how thats going :)

Happy BELATED BIRTHDAY DEREK!!! WOO HOO!!!!!

Mission Skinny: its no 10 pounds, but it'll do.

I weighed in again today, and I lost 3.8 lbs in one week. So, that means that I lost 13.8 lbs in the past 16 days. Not bad if you ask me.

After taking the pics below of Aiden, we gave him a much needed hair cut. Its very short and makes him look older. Good news is that he does NOT have an ear infection like I thought, just a cold. He's doing good. Kevin is doing well also, and even though he got to skip out on exercising this week due to his 'cold' he still lost another 6 lbs. Bringing his total to 12.5 lbs lost.

Thats about all I have to report this time around. Unless you want to hear about Fuzzybutt's Great Escape into the Snowy Wonderland this morning.... no, I didnt think so.

Just for Fun

He likes his horsey
"uh ooooohhh"
