What color is my hair? This is the first time in a LONG time that my whole head is my natural color, all grown out. Some people say it is just brown, some people say it has some red in it.. I know I know... people are dieing in New Orleans, and there are WAY more important things to be worrying about.... but... blogs must go on right? Posted by Picasa

Actual news article... the Black lady and the two white people are holding the same items in their hands... bread and soda... but for some reason the black person "looted" the items where as the white people "found" the items. That is too sad, how could an editor miss that! Posted by Picasa

The story from the weekend....

Karissa told this story on dougs blog, but I'm gonna give you a short version as well... cause there are pics below to go along with it...

We went to grand forks to celebrate Doug graduating. We're outside havin' fun and this lady stops by with her 4 year old (mind you it is about 10:30) She is OBVIOUSLY very drunk, and he poor boy should be in bed but instead they are walking to the gas station to put air in his bike tires... anyway, she sits down, and stays for a LONG TIME. She's talkn' and telling us these stories of how she's beaten (she has scars) and the whole time she is outside, we have her 4 year old inside playing Game Boy. We offered him food and the mom says "go on boy, eat, you know we poor" so the kid eats some... anyway, Karissa leaves with Shandria to get air in the tires and she leaves her son with 5 complete drunk strangers. Luckily we're good people. Then finally at about 12:30am or so Karissa decides to get rid of Shandria and her 4 year old boy, named Izelle, so he can go home and at least get some sleep. Shandria INSISTS on helping us clean up... we give the boy a sandwich and some little smokies and send them on their way home. Karissa notices her camera is missing, so after looking everywhere, she decides to go over to Shandria's and ask her if she "accidentally" may have put it in her bag while cleaning. Tony goes with her... and the rest you can read on Doug's blog. Cause I don't know the whole thing. http://gravereflection.blogspot.com/2005/08/jungle-is-dark-but-full-of-diamonds.html#comments

But yeah, she stole the camera, and Karissa got it back, and there is a poor 4 year old that thinks this whole lifestyle is normal.

A post to Mr. Jason Brueckner

So we have this friend named Jason, we all call him Brueckner. Josie dated him. We've known him for at least 10 years or so. I know he may read this, I know he's read Josies blog so.. yeah.

I wish I could tell you all about Brueckner, thing is, he's never really been one person. He's like a social camelion (sp?). I wanted to set the scene by telling those of you who don't know him a little about him, who he is or his outlook on life. I can't do that though, cause no one knows the 'real' brueckner, and in some sick way I think he likes it that way. Well, he moved away and lost touch with us here in DL. He got a girlfriend, and continued to go to school. There were sighting from some of us here and there "oh I saw Brueckner and Ali yesterday.. yeah he seems to be doing good"

He pops into town last week. He says he's there to say good bye to everyone. He tells me and Kevin that he is engaged, and that he is waiting for a call from his girlfriend (who recentely moved to Oregon) and that when she is settled he'll be joining her there. He tells us they have big plans of getting married and moving to England. The whole time he's in town, he's says he is doing things for "one last time" seeing people and telling them how he feels about them (whether it be good or bad) for "one last time" He says it is refreshing and liberating to be able to tell people what he things about them after so long.

I guess you can say, Brueckner, that my next couple paragraphs is going to be VERY LIBERATING....

So he is haning out with us as they play poker and insists on trying to down a bottle of Vodka because it is his "courage juice" and that there is something he needs to tell us all after he's had enough to drink. I'm sorry but I'm a blunt person, and I hate it when people hint around to stuff... all night he was acting depressed and honestly bringing the whole party down with him. He tells Josie and Butto that he is going to kill himself that night. (Ah... so thats where the whol "one last time" fits) I understand that people get depressed, and suicide is NOTHING to take lightly.

I found out that he had lied to Kevin and I, the truth is his girlfriend broke up with him, moved to Oregon, and doesn't want to talk to him. He is jobless, and very messed up. I don't mean to sound.... sarcastic or passive about the whole thing, but we've all had to deal with this whole "5 dimensions of Brueckner" for YEARS now and I'm just venting.

For the record we got all the hints.... the talking about "good old days" the COUNTLESS "last times" for things. But if you need help, then ASK for help, tell people the TRUTH. No one even knows WHO he is... even the people closest to him and I dont even know who that would be cause he never lets anyone get that close. He's been diagnosed with mental illness albeit personality disorders, depression, whatever. Take the meds, they will help.

Poker night, he and Josie go for a walk (I stand by my theory that be is NOT Josie's problem anymore and that she, married and preggers, should not have to console him after he CHEATED on her) and he felt better.

The next day, he was over at our house, vowing that we will NEVER see him again, he is shutting his phone off, not getting a cell phone, changing his email, and moving. He made it OBVIOUS that he does NOT want us to contact him, even though he was beating around the bush so hard there was nothing but twigs left.

Then he started working with Doug, and then sucked that up, and why I don't know.

Brueckner, if you getting the feeling that none of your friends like you anymore, it isn't that, it is just that you won't LET us KNOW WHO YOU ARE. You won't be yourself, you're always fake and you need professional help. Distancing yourself from us is your choice not ours, remember that.

He emailed Josie to let her know he read her blog, and well, I hope he reads mine, cause this is the truth, I'm not going to lie , I'm not going to beat around the bush. There it is. I don't 'get' you Brueckner, and I think you like it that way, so I'm not going to give you the satisfaction of thinking you got me tricked. I think you're weird, and unstable, and you need help more than any of us can give you.

You'll always be my friend, but you have to be honest with me or I'm not going to listen.
I don't speak for everyone. Just myself. one last thing... take a shower.

Now for those of you who think that I've been harsh and mean... Brueckner has been playing mind games with us for years now, and I'm not going to do it anymore.

you're right, that is liberating.

Yet another job

Well, I start waitressing at the Hanson House 313 tomorrow night. That means I work at Ramsey Photo until 5 and go straight to the 313 and work till (I'm guessing) 11:30ish which will make for a long day. I've never waitressed before, nor have I ever really wanted to. But with gas prices the way they are I figured that another paycheck (and not to forget the tips) would be nice to have. I'll only be waitressing one night a week, so it shouldn't be that bad.
I'm a concerned because... well... I'm very clumsy. what if I throw someone's fillet Mignon in their lap!

We're over at Butto's house (for all of you who don't know, his real name is Jason and Butto is a variation of his last name) Midcontinent Communication just gave us High Definitinon TV. Our TV doesn't supporst that, but Butto's 52 inch DLP big screen TV does, so Kevin just had to come and drool over it.

I don't have much else going on.... so I won't waste any more of your time. Good Day!

Watched Sin City tonight.

If you are afraid of wolves (like me) don't watch this movie on a big screen TV. It is scary. That is all.

It was a really good movie, I suggest all you see it... but if you are scared of wolves, don't watch the farm scene. I wish someone had warned me about that scene.... you know... because they KNEW I am scared... DEATHLY AFRAID.... of wolves.

My hubby's hand might fall off!

Okay so it won't actually fall off, but it hurts so it may as well. Kevin was cooking tonight (yup, he does most of the cooking... what are you gonna do about it!) and he burned his hand pretty bad with grease from the pan of chicken. Poor thing, he's had it iced for a couple of hours now and he says it hurt really bad without the ice on. There are no blisters, and the reddness is going away, but it still hurts pretty bad I guess. It is his right hand too, (he is right handed) and he uses his hands all day on his patients, so if it still hurts tomorrow, he may not be able to go to work. :(On a good note, we got our new dining room set. I love it! We still don't have anything on the walls in that room, but we were kind of waiting for the table. Plus tomorrow is FRIDAY, can't get any better than that! The past two weeks have gone by REALLY fast! That means summer is almost REALLY over.

My new dining room set came in today! Posted by Picasa
