YAY for Photography!

So I now have the light kit in my posession. I'm so very grateful that Teresa is letting me borrow her lights! So of course, I set them up in my basement to test them out. They were easy to set up, and easy to use, and they helped me take really good pics of Kevin (erased already cause I need the space on my flash card) Now, I'm not worried about the wedding, I'm excited like I should be! Now I can spend less time worrying about lighting and apeture and be more concerned with posing and smiles!!

The shoot went well today, much better than Monday. Grinsteiner came up and started bossing us around, and Teresa just politely said "hey, we have two girls here to handle the boys' posing, so you don't have to do this, we got it covered, if we need you, we'll hollar." So he left. Not another peep, just said okay and left. It went faster, the kid's smiles were more sincere, and they didn't look like they were going to cry after they left!

So anyway, today has been a really good day, busy but good. I'll post pics of the wedding, and you can all see how beautiful the couple look on their very special day!

This and That... and some of this... and that too...

I've been pretty busy! I'm headed to GF AGAIN (I was just there for the weekend working) I work an 8 hour desk shift then I'm driving back tonight so I can be to work tomorrow morning. I won't get home till about 1am, and I have to drive in the dark, which I hate this time of year because the deer are out like crazy.

I love my job at Ramsey Photo! I do what I like to do all day, and the pay is handy too :) We're going to Red Lake Falls, MN this weekend for a friend's wedding (CONGRATES JOHN AND JENNY IF YOU ARE READING THIS!) Pics to come on Monday. I'm doing the photography for the wedding and I'm borrowing someone's electronic flash kit so the pics should look pretty snazy.

Yesterday we (me and Teresa, who I'm helping do the photography for the school) took pics of the little kids football. I had the coach for a health teacher back in 8th grade. He is the biggest ASSHOLE I've ever met. I was setting up the shots for the individual pics of the team members and as I started shooting he says "those pictures are going to look like crap! You just ruined all those pics, now come on do it right, we want them to look good! The mouth piece is hanging off the helmet that looks HORRIBLE!!" I wanted to get up and punch him! OOooOOoooo he gets under my skin. No one would have seen that stupid mouth peice, and who the heck made him a professional. He set up the shots and did the posing, which was my JOB, and he was yelling at those poor kids and calling them names and making them feel very embarrassed in front of the others. I HATE HIM... theres more but I gotta go because I have to start driving to GF... Have a good week, I'll update soon.

Emily says hi. She is just too cute! I hope we get to Fargo soon to see her (and her mommy and daddy) in person. Adorable little girl!

Happy Birthday Bell Bell..

Okay so it isn't her REAL birthday... but Kevin and I went to her birthday party today. It was fun... you know as far as one year olds go... This should probably be Karissa's post... but I have the pictures, and they'll have a lot more from her other two parties!

We went out to Doug's dads place and ate good food, and had cake and ice cream. Isabella was a little overwhelmed by all of the excitement (and her cousins fighting over her) so she cried a few times just to let us know she was uncomfortable... but all in all I think she had a good day. She opened a few presents and got to run around without clothes on for a while. so Happy early Birthday Bell Bell!
