I love Minnesota because it is full of these kind of trees. I think they're pretty and I want to live in a place where my house is surrounded by them.

It's tough to tell what they are from just the bottom of the tree but to me they look like ponderosa pines, if they are ponderosa's, we do have some and a friend of ours has them in her back yard.
We will have to be neighbors because I want those trees in my yard too! I've always told Doug, well at least since I've seen them in Minnesota last year, that I wanted these trees in my yard because they look so awesome. I love the pic!
