Anyone up for a game of Red Rover?

I always liked that game because its the only game where you call out the person you think is the weakest so they don't rip your arm off when they try to run through the chain of arms.... I liked it because its the only game I was ever "picked" to do something.... pathetic I'm sure... but we all have our childhood memories. The only thing is that I WASN'T the weakest, and I almost ALWAYS broke through the chain, and THAT made me the star of my team when I got to bring back one of my team members from the other side. Anyway, that was a totally random thought for the day. Back to 2007 when April is a well adjusted young women with a husband and a son....

***Fade back to reality with a classic "made for TV" dreamland sound effect... like from Wayne's World****

Going to bed at 9:30 is for old people. Waking up at 2 am, when most people my age are just beginning their REM sleep..... thats just for the birds. You see, I go to bed at 9:30, and start my "BABY SHIFT" at 2am sharp every night. That ensures me about 4 hours of sleep, if you don't count the tossing and turning for an hour, and waking up 20 minutes before Kevin comes to wake me. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. in fact, I'm surprised how well my body is adjusting. I like routine, I'm a schedules type of person, so I welcome ANY type of schedule that Aiden is ready make. Not that you all want to know, but here's my morning....

From 2-3am Aiden eats, digests, and get a diaper change... then we play the "Is Aiden a sleepy baby" game until about 3:30-4am... then he falls "asleep" which is really just a half awake-don't- move- me- or -I'll -wake -up ...kind of state. Then my alarm goes off at 5 and I put Aiden in his car seat and he sits there, contently staring at the bathroom lights and steam while I take my shower and get ready for work. Aiden gets a new outfit for the day and if I'm lucky, this is where I get my "its all worth it mommy" smiles for the day. We leave the house at 6:15, make it to Karissa's by 6:30 and then I'm off to work and clock in at 7am....and thats when my day "begins".

This is my routine almost everyday. But I'm getting to like it because Aiden is starting to show some sort of sleeping schedule... not ideal by any means, but its a step in the right direction.

Anyway, so I'm SOOOO ready for Sanjaya (if thats how you spell it, I never bothered to learn because he sucks) to go home... and he didn't tonght, America voted, and he stays another week. But I have faith that he'll be going home next week. I don't care much for Dianna Ross, she's too old, she should be sitting on a beach somewhere not bothering anyone. And thats that.

BATH TIME! AHH yes, one of the funnest (ahem... I mean most fun... grammer april, grammer) times of the week.... no really Aiden likes bathtime, and so do we because he gets sleepy.

It may not be the ideal schedule, but look at it this way--his sleep schedule evolves, and eventually he'll be out all night.

BTW: I made it sound like aiden only gets 1 bath a week... not to worry I do keep our baby clean! :) he gets a bath every other day :)
