"BigFoot Shoes"

That is the catchy new title of my new store to be opened next fall. THis is a store that sells only shoe sizes 8-16 and everything is WIDE. Why? So people like me can feel comfortable KNOWING that they'll find a shoe that will fit them and look great and they will never have to drive all over the state to find shoes that will fit them.

They will NEVER have to have someone say to them "well, you have big feet, dear, I can't make them any smaller" That is what the lady at Kristen's Bridal said to me when I asked if they had a specific shoe in a larger size... no I'm not shitting you, she really said that, and I wanted to punch her. First of all, my feet are not gigantic. I am almost 6 feet tall, and I need feet to keep me balanced. Show me a tall girl with size 8 feet. Plus I've had sergery on my feet, making my "big" toe considerably smaller then the rest of my toes... embarassing? hell yes. But I tell the whole blogging community this why? I don't know. point is: People have bigger feet than me, much bigger, so that comment was a little uncalled for.

Karissa and I ventured to Fargo today hoping that SOMEWHERE In the mall would have a WHITE shoe that would looke good with a beautiful bridesmaid dress. Lots of white shoes, none the right size... NONE... NADA... nowhere! Karissa as my witness, I am not making this up, we found NOTHING. I bought a pair of shoes that fit, and they are cute, but they are NOT dressy enough for this dress, and it was the last store we went to so I had to buy something. I'm done stressing over this though... I told AMber yesterday that I might just have to wear flip flops.

okay a whole post about my feet... wow. Thats more than you all needed to know. Thanks to Karissa for being a trooper and shoe hunting with me for the last 3 flippin' days. Dealing with my complaining and whining and big foot jokes. Including the one when I asked the guy who was helping me put on a shoe "you know feet, are my feet really funny looking?" and he said "you have a really small big toe, so yeah kind of"

People can be so cruel or should I say crude, obnoxious, ideates! especially shoe salesmen, and ladies that work at Kristen's Bridal shop. Wait a minute... I use to be a shoe salesperson. But I would never tell some one that their feet were weird. They just don't know what I know and that when you were born you could have worn doll shoes. So tell them to take their shoes and stick them where the sun don't shine! By the way I have seen some weird feet and yours look pretty good next to them.

Well, maybe you had it coming from the salesman since you asked, but the lady at Kristin's Bridal was unprofessional in saying something like that. Plus it sounds like she's being snide about it.

Kristin's Bridal was one of the first stores that I started to look for a wedding dress back in 2001. I remember walking out shortly after I entered the store because I hated the way the sales people treated me. I think it's manditory that you need to be a bitch to work at that place.

Kristin's is just getting more and more proof that they need to run things better.

You were in Fargo? And you didn't tell me?! (I'm not offended, and Wednesdays are way too crazy for us anyway, but I just wanted you to feel guilty for .5 seconds, then laugh about it.)

I also had problems with Kristens when I was in my friends wedding. I hated that place but it was the only place we could get the dresses the bride wanted. Very unprofessional and rude. She all but said I was fat and thats why they wanted to charge me way too much for a dress that was bigger than necessary. Guess what? I ordered the size I knew would work and it fit perfectly.
Idiots.

They made me order a larger size and a longer size than I needed, then after the dress came in, they ended up altering it so much that it would have been cheaper to just get the smaller size dress in the first place. They also told me that when I get MY dress there, that the bridesmaids would get 10% off their dress when they ordered... somehow that ended up not happening.

boycotting kristens sounds like it wouldn't be a bad idea, I'm really glad I didn't get anything from them. And I didn't because they were rude in the first place.

Bens mom told them off a while ago because they practically kicked her out of the store 15 min before they closed. So she didn't buy the dress there she ordered it from someone else. Dumbbutts
