3 hours and a sore butt..... ARG, a pirates life, not so much for me.

We saw Pirates of the Caribean 2: The Dead Man's Chest... or whatever its called. 3 hour movie... didn't care much for it. Lots of fighting, lots of big ugly sea monster dead pirate thingies... meh. my ass went numb and I lost track of what was going on a lot of the time. If you didn't see the first movie, don't see this one until you've rented the first.

There's a lot of filler, and the plot of the movie is kind of lost in the CG effects and boring fighting scenes that last too long.

The good part: Johnny Depp is hot. Even more so with eyeliner and mascara.

The buttheads at Altru have screwed us yet AGAIN, this time they went after Kevin's job. They wanted to transfer him to the nursing home in Crookston. The place he said he MOST DEFINATELY DID NOT want to work when he signed his contract. They wanted to put him there 20 hours a week and then keep him in the clinic 20 hours a week. Kevin HATES nursing homes. He hates working with old people, and he hates any nursing home. period. So they put up a big stink, and he had to meet with the stupid heads of the department and have a "discussion" they came to a "compramise" by sending him to the nursing home 10 hours a week. Which is, okay, not as bad... but still, he hates the idea of being forced to do this... just because the contract... stupid contract and its freakin' loopholes. Hopefully this nursing home thing won't last too long, and he can transfer to the main clinic here in Grand Forks when his one year review comes.

I don't trust Altru... not one bit. Not their patient care, not their HR department for their employees and definately not their "management latter" they have. The whole system is there to benifet the head honchos, the docs that have been there for 20 years, and the "good reputation" that they THINK they have with the community. THeir system is not designed to make their employees feel safe and comfortable in their jobs, it is not designed to make their patients feel trusted in their care. I hate the fact that I have no other choices in Grand Forks for healthcare. If I could, I would switch ASAP and have this baby in a place I feel more comfortable and more wanted and valued. after all, we are spending over 10,000 over a 10 month period to have this baby there, you think that would mean SOMETHING to them. Just like Kevin is dedicated to his patients and drives 50 miles every day, he gets all his paper work done on time, and hasn't complained about anything... you'd think that would MEAN something, but no, he gets transferred to a job he HATES. ARG!
