After I got off work, I was going to drive home, change then go pick up a birthday cake for Kevin..however those plans were ruined when I got home and saw that Kevin had gotten home early. We got ready for an early dinner. We decided to eat at The View, which is supposedly a very fancy restaurant in the Casino. Well, we drive all the way out there (across the lake) and we park, walk in, and at the door I asked the girl how to get to the View from the main casino enterance... she pointed. We got to the doors... and oh my god.. wouldyalookatthat! They are CLOSED on Mondays. I have NEVER known any business that is open all week except MONDAYS! How completely odd is THAT! I was frustrated at the Valet parking girl, she could have told us it was closed instead of pointing us in the right direction.
We went to a different restaurant instead. Kevin's mom's friend owns the place. I was offered and accepted a waitressing job there tonight. only one day a week. I figure it's extra cash in my pocket for gas and whatnots. The waitresses get paid 5.50/hour plus tips. I think the tips are going to be very nice in a place like that. After dinner we went out with a couple of friends and hung out, played some darts, blackjack and pool.
Tomorrow we are going to attempt to go to The View with my parents. It is their anniversary tomorrow as well. I forget how long they've been married... probably like 200 years or something.
I don't work tomorrow, I have to remember to get mr. pie some more Rx cat food from the vet. He has a clean bill of health for those of you sitting on the edge of you seat, waiting to hear how he is doing. The only weird thing about him now is that he likes to hang out and sleep in the bath tub.

restaurants closed on monday is perty big in nyc and dc. in nyc it's because broadway is dark on mondays, so they figure they'll be substantially less customers. as for dc and your place in nd, no se. happy b-day to your husband and congrats on 2 years!!
Tell Kevin getting closer to 30 is nothing wait until 40 or 50 comes along then is the time to complain about birthdays. Supper tonight was great! Thanks for asking us to come with you. It was sooooo good! I'm still full and I think I will have to make it an early night. By the way what's with the rooster!! Is the cat on strike I would like to see a picture of him in the tub. Maybe it's cool in there?
Hey, by the way let Kevin know that it's always better to be getting older rather than being dead. :) That's what I told my mom when she was sad about turning 40. :) I'd much rather turn 70 than not.

with the chicken: Its for Kevin, he'll get it. For some reason, a couple of months ago, Kevin randomly started saying chicken.... exfor no reason cept to be stupid. You weren't supposed to get the chicken thing. move on with your lives... I always do when Kevin pulls the chicken card out... :)
