Right now, Amber and Ben are on their much anticipated honey moon. After their wonderful wedding yesterday, I'm sure they're a little overwhelmed and a tad bid exhausted, so there is no doubt that they are enjoying themselves very much while they finally get to relax tonight.
The wedding was beautiful. Amber looked AMAZING! Ben was lookin' pretty hot too. Amber was one classy lady. We had the rehearsal on Friday. Because of a long string of misunderstandings and plot twists, I was bumped up to Maid of Honor. Stacey was bumped from personal attendant to Bridesmaid, Blake became Amber's ROCKSTAR personal attendant and cousin Michael was transfomed from guest into usher... all in a matter of ONE night! So it was a bit hecktic, and although Amber had a quick meltdown (as to be expected in this situation on the day before her wedding day) she quickly got herself together and gracefully made changes and continued planning the finishing touches for the wedding day. Even though everyone could tell that she was very deeply hurt and crushed by the changes she had to make last minute, she still mustered up smiles and everyone said that they wouldn't have handled it as well as she had. The rehearsal dinner was great, Dixie and Jake had quite the spread. I ate lots and it was fun.
The reception hall was beautiful, it looked out across the lake, and the sunset was perfect too. The slide show was a great idea. Everyone really enjoyed it, It was fun seeing pics of Amber and Ben growing up. I made an impromtu speech as I didn't have much time to plan it, but I'm surprised i didn't faint while I spoke in front of 200 people. But I made it short and sweet. The dance was great. I had a lot of fun dancing with Kevin (I stayed away from the fast dancing, I didn't want to take the risk of a drunken wedding guest running into Peanut) It was our three year anniversary Wednesday so Kevin requested our wedding song, and it was great to dance with him.... always a romantic, Hugs and kisses Husband.
Today we went out to Jake and Dixie's (Ben's parents btw) and they opened gift... made off with some really cool stuff and some moooooola. Again we were served some yummy chow.
We got home, and wow am I exhausted. all weekend my feet and ankles sweelled up like balloons. They were like marshmellows! I hope this doesn't last for the next 5 months because it hurts and it is annoying.
We all had a great time this weekend, congrats Amber and Ben! Thanks for a great weekend! Hope you are having fun on your honeymoon in the black hills. Enjoy!
Josie, I do feel sorry for you, it must really suck to know that you made your best friend cry on her wedding day. But wait, you have an excuse so I guess that makes it okay. Just remember all the shit she did for you for your wedding and all she was asking was not even 50% of that back. I really hope your situations (whatever they are, the ones more important than Ambers wedding) get resolved and you guys can start taking responsibility for your actions instead of making excuses for them. THis is just my opinion btw. I don't speak for Amber. The dress shop made Amber and Ben pay for AMadon's tux too, thats why they had someone fill in for AMadon, because they would have had to pay for the tux whether amadon used it or not. There is a lot more to being the maid of honor than just showing up the day of the wedding last minute wearing the dress, holding the flowers. I know your pissed off so much at me for writing this, and the sad part is that I know you don't care about making Amber worried on her wedding day, your pobably more concerned with why no one talked to you at the dance when you showed up at 11:30PM or making sure everyone knows exactly why you missed the rehearsal without getting a hold of anyone at least a day or two before hand.
Amadon, call your mom. She misses you, and would like to see Adele.
OUR ULTRASOUND IS ON TUESDAY!!!! Yay!!!!!
