All settled in

The move is complete! I am now officially a Grand Forks resident again, and ahhh does it feel good! Yesterday was such a busy day! Doug and Karissa came to town and we couldn't have done it without them! And Butto, of course. My Dad was also a hero, helping us move our washer and dryer up the stairs, which was the most dreaded task of the whole moving fiasco. Karissa helped me clean the apartment, which helped A LOT because I was running around packing those last minute "oh yeah I forgot about that" items. Rainy stopped by the apartment when we were moving out. Haven't talked to her in a while. Her son D'Artagnan is SOOO big now! He's 8. I hadn't seen him since he was like 5. And her daughter Aris is adorable. She came in and chatted for a bit. Must say, it was nice because i haven't been able to talk to her like that for a while. Its kind of like when two people get divorced and your forced to pick one or the other... and things get mixed up... and I just forgot that I was friends with her and that she is a good friend (maybe not the perfect wife) but she's never done anything to me personally, so I guess I don't feel bad about missing her company.

We got to GF around 6pm and started the tedious task of unpacking the UHaul. Not that I really helped with the actual transfer of large boxes and items... I mostly stood at the door and moved things into their appropriate room. Blake had gotten to the house before us and shoveled the sidewalk and entire driveway to make the hole moving thing possible. I was very impressed with his hard work because it had snowed a lot the day before, so it wasn't like just sweeping away a light dusting of snow, it was heavy very wet snow. THANK YOU BLAKE! Ben and Amber came over, and without Ben, I don't think the washer and dryer would have made it out of the UHaul! Jayden (Amber's 4 year old sister) tagged along, and she is just the most adorable little person ever. She is soooo smart and has her own little characteristics that make her so unique. I could listen to her talk all day. Mr. Fuzzybutt was a big ice breaker and I even got a "GOOD BYE APRIL" out of the deal. A 4 year old remembering your name makes you feel good.

Today I started putting things away. Nothing is left in any boxes, I got ALL the unpacking done today, except for some clothes and the office stuff (which isn't important so it doesn't matter) Tomorrow I plan on cleaning and straightning. I really didn't think I'd get that much done today, I'm very excited!

I realized this weekend that I have awesome friends! They didn't run and hide when we called for their help. They just came right over and helped get the job done! That ensures that when they need our help, we'll be there for them too. Thanks to all of you that helped us, we truely appreciate you and all you did for us, really... pat yourselves on the back because you deserve it. Tomorrow I'm taking the UHaul back (Doug's driving it for me, because I'd probably hurt someone or something with that big of a vehicle) and I have to bring back our old DVR from DL. I didn't get a chance to record all my Six Feet Under off of it so I guess I'm just going to have ot buy the box set when it comes out.

a newbie question.

Where in my template do I put extras. I want to put a gif on the sidebar.

I love Pink

I love Pink. I love her voice, and when I saw her new video, I knew I had to find it and put in on my blog. If you haven't seen the video (IE you've been under a rock for a while) scroll down and watch. Its funny, except the puke part. ew.

I have a headache. A bad one. I've had it since about 2pm and I've taken three Ibuprophine (around 4) and I took three Excedrine Migrane around 7:30... and it hasn't even taken the edge off. I have so much to do. I still have to get our bedroom ready to move, and I just want to get everything in order to be moved easily Friday. Everytime I get up to go do something my head pounds and I get dizzy and have to sit back down.

I got rejected AGAIN for yet another job at Altru. Its a sign. Its just not meant to be. I will never make over $8.00/hour

I read in the paper today that Tharaldson (the Hotel company I worked for) is being sued in a large civil suite (yup I know I spelled that one wrong) because they've ripped people off with illegal stock exchange stuff involving their Employee Profit Share Program. I don't understand, but unfortunately it has effected me because I owned stock. They traced it back to 1999 (the year I began working there and joined the program) I guess if I cared enough I could join the party and get some $$$ out of the deal, but why would I do that when I want to work for them again. or do I. They've always been cheap bastards.... The lawsuite is moving to ND because this is where their HQ is and where most of the employees effected by this whole thing are located. I guess I'll have to learn more. If I had only cashed out of my stock in October when I was supposed to be....damn it anyway.

Staring at the computer screen prolly isn't helping my headache. Have a good night.

Kevin and April review "A Date Movie"

Kevin: "I liked it."
April: "I got popcorn. The movie was funny, but more of a renter.

So there you have it folks.

Yup, Kevin is back for the weekend. We've packed and packed some more. I move down to GF next weekend, and I can't wait! Last night we went out to dinner at the Hanson House 313. It was tasty. We chatted with Amamom (aka Sharon, Amadon's mom) and that is always a blast. My cousin Trista was there with a very handsome fella. I said he was hot, and then gave Kevin permission to checkout our drop dead gorgeous waitress. (He said she was too "Lyndsay Lohan skinny" but whatever, she was hot. Today we woke up at noon, which is really really odd for us. We then started to pack everything that I wouldn't need for this week. We had dinner at my parents house. Sloppy Joes and Strawberry Shortcake... yummy. We went to the early movie and now we're home to finish packing the kitchen. For Valentine's Day (belated of course) Kevin gave me a pretty tin with sugar cookies that have love letter written on them. I think they are a very classy gift (prolly bought at Target but I don't care) and very romantic. He also gave me a framed picture that has the bible quote that we used at our wedding.

I have pictures of Mr. Pie having a gay ol' time with his favorite box, one of the only ones left for him to play in. But for some reason every time I put my card reader in the USB port, this computer shuts down. So those will just have to wait.

Anyway, just wanted to update.

Would you play THIS Russian Roulette?

Chocolate roulette: box of chocolates, one has a hot chili inside
Chocolate Russian Roulette: elevent chocolates contain creamy sweet centers; the remaining one has a very hot chili:
Seated in individual compartments, twelve chocolate bullets lay waiting to be bitten into. Although eleven of the sweet little slugs contain delicious praline centres, one conceals a seriously red hot chilli that's guaranteed to blow your head off - metaphorically, at least.

Maybe I should move to Canada....ooops

You Failed the US Citizenship Test

Oops, you only got 6 out of 10 right!

just kidding... they don't really like me... not one bit

I got a letter from Acme today. They hired someone more qualified in making signs. How freakin' hard can it be, you design it, print it, and put it on things. So I suck at life.

I didn't really think I was getting the job anyway. So now I'm over it. I don't think I'm going to look for graphic jobs anymore. I need a degree and I don't have one so I don't want to waste my time. I'm going to take the job at the hotel. I love working there. I love my co workers and Jan is the best manager ever. I think the only reason I felt like I needed to find a different job is because that is my "college job" The job I had until I found "something in my feild" well if that was the case, I probably should have reevaluated my choice of fields. I have nothing wrong with the hotel business. I actually like it a lot, except for the pay. I will get paid crap. 8.00/hour. crap. Even though I had worked there for 5 years (and got screwed out of 5K) I have to start over.. no more anniversary bonuses, I have to start over like I never worked there before. day 1.
But there are plenty of other jobs out there, so in a couple of months when the students are gone for summer, maybe I'll look again.

I watched the third Harry Potter with Amanda tonight. It was good, except for the Warewolf, that part was scarey and I closed my eyes.

speaking of eyes. about 2 years ago I had to go to the eye doctor because my tear duct was clogged or something. It took the doctor and Kevin to hold me still while the doctor stuck a needle in my eye and forced a saline solution in my eye, which is conected to your nose, and throat... so you can about imagine how discusting that was. I'm not scared of needles. Shots don't bother me. But this needle was the biggest I've ever seen, ask Kevin, it was like 5 inches long and very scary looking, and it was being stuck IN MY EYE...well, my eye has been doing the same thing and it is getting annoying because my tears will build up... and I feel pressure and then all of a sudden it gushes out and looks like I'm crying, so I rub it and now my eye is puffy and red and weapy. Very gross. I'm convinced that if I pretend it doesn't exist, it'll go away and I'll never have to see that mean doctor with his torturous needle.

It is late, and this janis joplin song on repeat is getting annoying. Yes, Katie, I'm thinkin' of you.
